The Dick I knew didn’t look quite like the guy in the photo but he sure was gentle and fun to be with. He and Charlie had a great time together. They bowled, and attended LIONS, as well as activities at TSB and SAAVI. Good times for us as couples.
Arlene, you now have time to figure out who you are and recognize it as a new opportunity. So glad we got to know each other. My love, Marge Barnhart

In Loving Memory of Richard Svenson
I have fond memories of Rick who had the good fortune of being married to one of my favorite cousins on the Hazard Tree, Arlene, for many years! They started spending time together while in school.in Norwich, NY back in the 60's (good years!)
One memory I also have took place early in their marriage. We were all working @ vaious jobs in Norwich area and Arlene & I decided we needed a girl's night out. We chose a place to go where we could get together with other working friends. The etal of Norwich, which provided us with good conversation, music, humor, etc. Rick, as was his easy going ways us up at a reasonable time. As we all to work the next day. When he came to get us, we never quite ready to go, Rick would smile and wait until we were. So patient . He was truly special to everyone in our family. We will miss you Rick. With heartfelt sympathy. (Cousin) June (Hazard) Weinheimer.

I wish I had known Rick before he got so sick. I met him through Tucson Society of the blind. We moved to Tucson about 8 years ago. Rick was a great guy, even after so much hard times in his life. He almost always had a smile ready for me. He was a very lucky man to have Arlene as his partner through life. The cool part is that he knew it. Bon’ Voyage Rick. Until we meet again.
