Julie Gordon
General Manager/Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer

A Hospice Volunteer since 2005, Julie was referred by Hospice Friends to her local funeral home as a great fit for an open position they had. This began her career in the funeral industry in 2007 in Ellensburg WA. She worked her way from doing deliveries up to Location Manager over the years.

Julie graduated from Ellensburg High school and completed the Funeral Directing/ Embalming program at Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 2010.  She is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in Washington, Texas and Arizona. As well as a Cremation Specialist.

In 2018 she joined Foundation Partners Group in Yakima WA. as a Funeral Director/ Embalmer As well as the Location Leader. In 2019 Julie relocated to Tucson, AZ and became the Location Leader of Angel Valley Funeral Home.

Outside of work, Julie enjoys riding her Harley Davidson, 4-wheeling in her jeep, and spending time with her two daughters and 7 grandchildren. She also enjoys being involved in the community and attends many fundraisers throughout the year.

Brandon Roan

Brandon is originally from Chandler, Arizona and moved to Tucson to study at the University of Arizona, majoring in Anthropology and minoring in Special Education and Rehabilitation. While he has not yet settled on a career, he ultimately wants to be involved in meaningful work that builds people up and helps them grow. Brandon holds an eclectic mix of interests and enjoys trying new things and making new connections. He entered the funeral industry through happenstance but has found the work to be both engaging and incredibly rewarding. His primary responsibilities are cremation and transportation, but he is also active in supporting his colleagues with whatever they may require while assisting families.

Josh Finney
Family Service Advisor

Joshua was born and raised in Silver City, New Mexico, where his father is an instructor and his mother is a funeral director.  In 2014, Joshua relocated to Tucson, Arizona to further his own career in the funeral industry with Angel Valley Funeral Home.  Joshua is dedicated to promoting memorable and personable services to the families he serves.

When Joshua is out of the office, he enjoys the outdoors, with hiking the beautiful mountains surrounding Tucson, listening to music, playing several music instruments and spending time with his friends.  Joshua loves being part of a team that is truly dedicated.

Elise Tena
Family Service Advisor

Elise was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona.  She is one of five children with four brothers. Elise has experience in almost all aspects of the mortuary and funeral homes for over eight years. 

She has a strong passion in helping families and their loved ones during the hardest time in their lives. 

In her free time, Elise spends time with her 11 year old son and they enjoy traveling, going to the gym together, theme parks, movies and eating.

Elise believes life is one huge memory that should be cherished and shared most importantly with loved ones. 

Karen Thompson
Administrative Support

“I like to put people at ease” says Karen about her long career at in the funeral industry.  While Karen was visiting with family many years ago, a funeral pre-arrangement counselor came to the home. She immediately felt that she would enjoy assisting folks plan for their final wishes and supporting them during a difficult time in their lives. For more than 25 years, Karen has been the kind voice answering the phone, and the friendly first greeting for visitors to the funeral home. Karen is a Yakima, WA native and graduated from Davis High School. She has recently moved to the Tucson, AZ area where she plans on working until her retirement. Karen is excited to be a part of the Angel Valley Funeral Home team and is looking forward to being involved in the Tucson community. 

Marcelle Baldwin
Licensed Funeral Director / Embalmer Intern

Marcelle is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer Intern who earned her AAS in Funeral Service from Lake Washington Institute of Technology in 2014.  She hopes to continue her education to obtain a BS of Mortuary Science.  She was raised in Seattle graduating from Garfield High School but has lived in the Los Angeles area, Eugene, OR, and Spokane, WA.  Marcelle has recently moved to Tucson, AZ with her two daughters, one is a Five-year-old the other is a teenager.  She absolutely loves road trips and the excitement of what might be around the next corner.  Hearing families tell her that her service to them in their time of need really made a difference warms her heart and brings her great pride.  She looks forward to many rewarding years in her career as a funeral director helping in the Tucson community.
