Obituary of Roberta Alston

Roberta Alston, 71, passed away peacefully on Saturday August 12, 2023, at Catalina Life Care Center in Tucson, Arizona.

She was born on September 9, 1951 in Columbia, South Carolina. She was born to Moses and Anzalee (Thompson) Green. She received her education in the public school district of Tucson, where she worked as a food service worker for over thirty years.

Roberta loved her job and being around the kids that she served over the years. Roberta was a woman who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, like family and friends, especially her grandkids. She also enjoyed attending church service, listening to Gospel music and signing in the choir.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Alston; son, Charles Dancer; two brothers, Bobby and Izell Green; four stepchildren and nine grandchildren.
