Sorry this is so late, but I am sending MY LOVE AND SYMPATHY. The circle of Silver cousins is getting mighty thin. I remember Carlotta from times when she was with Uncle Zera and Aunt Lucille and from my Grandmother Porter and my trip to Chicago in 1950. It is strange how you remember certain things from years ago. May the Lord Bless and Keep all of the Bogart Family as you have fond memories of your Mother.

I remember the first time I saw Carlotta, maybe 10 years ago, bounding through Willow Canyon on her way to Wind Song, her beloved little cabin. She peered over her steering wheel with those luminous, kind, soft hazel eyes and smiled. Then I noticed the oxygen tubes to her nose, and I turned to Dave and said, “Now there is a woman!” Before evening I had located her Subaru and we had the first of our many summer talks on her deck. Carlotta was the most fascinating conversationalist I have ever known. She brought magic and poetry to Willow, its animals, trees, stones, and me. She taught all her friends to live for now, to trust the future, and to love ourselves and each other. She was my mother, sister, confidante, and friend. She always will be. Betty Hunt, Willow Canyon

I have so many fond memories of Carlotta, especially how she would write a poem prior to many of our get-togethers. She was a talented, kind, and generous woman. I know how much Willow Canyon will miss her, as much as she missed it when she was not in residence there.

Many times as my dog and I walked the the road we would stop to visit Carlotta. She was always a positive thinking person. Sometimes I would set up and bring dinner to enjoy together that evening.
