Obituary of Ann Suchodolski

Ann B. Suchodolski passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 24, 2007, in Tucson, Az., at the age of 97. Born Ann Betty Lepak in Jeannette, Pa., on October 1, 1910, to Julia (Hylwa) and Konstantyn Lepak. Preceded in death by her mother and father, first husband Stephen 'Whitey' Visocky in 1960, sister Mary Lepak Orange in 1998, adopted brother Daniel Lepak in 1999, second husband Petro Suchodolski in 1997, and step daughter Anne Suchodolski in 2007. Ann is survived by many cousins and nieces, three nephews, Michael (Edna) Orange of Grove City, Pa, Dennis Orange of South Greensburg, Pa, Nicholas (Shirley) Orange of Doylestown, Ohio, step children Theodora (Frank) Harkins of Palmyra, NJ, Peter (Connie) Suchodolski of Tucson, Az., William (Kathy) Suchodolski of Toms River, NJ, Mathew (Jeanne) Suchodolski of Drewsville, NH, 7 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great grandchildren. Ann married Stephen 'Whitey' Visocky in 1950 in Jeanette, Pa, and later moved to Cleveland. Ohio. In 1970, Ann married Petro Suchodolski in Cleveland, Ohio, and then moved to Tucson, Arizona. Ann attended Hempfield Township Elementary School and Jeannette High School in Pennsylvania, and sang in the choir at St. Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church for many years. After high school, Ann was employed at the McKee glass company for 20 years. Ann was proud to receive a Gramota from Metropolitan Philip Saliba for her achievements in the church. In Cleveland, she was a devoted member of St. Michael's Russian Orthodox Church and continued membership in the 'R' Club for more than 50 years. In Tucson, Ann was a devoted member of the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church where she sang in the choir for many years. Ann also served as a volunteer at the Tucson Association for the Blind for 14 years. Ann deeply valued her religious life and all of her friendships during her lifetime. Ann's Orthodox faith was one of the most important goals in her life and she loved giving to the church. Her lifetime hobby was writing letters and sending cards. She had a positive outlook on life, always tried to help where and when she could, and was extremely compassionate and generous. Ann will be missed by all who knew her. There will be a Trisagion Service at Angel Valley Funeral Home 2545 N Tucson Blvd. Tucson, AZ. Tuesday evening Nov. 27 at 7:00 PM and a Church Funeral Service at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church 715 W Vanover Road Tucson on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007 at 10:00 AM with burial in East Lawn Cemetery.
