My condolences go out to everyone whose life was touched by Angie. My fondest memories of her (and there are many) will always be held in my heart. All though our lives took different paths I always thought of her and wished nothing but the best for her. She will be forever missed and is now on her final journey where she will find happiness, peace and most of all love. Spread your wings and fly…….Much love, Aunt Karen

You and Mom were Blood Sisters. You pricked your fingers in the bedroom on Dodge and you created a bond that would never waver, despite physical or emotional distance. You’d call her up and say, “Hi, Blood Sister,” and you’d talk on the phone about everything from gossip to your kids and you’d set up a time for us to swim, to play, to spend time together, Kristin and I. Still to this day, despite the distance between us, Kristin has a very special place in my heart as a sister I didn’t have. The sister I always wanted. Someone to play with and stay up late with and swim with. Even when she was in your belly, you said I was so fascinated with her, this baby inside of you who I couldn’t see yet! It was as if her and I would share the bond that you and Mom had. You gave her the best you could and she is such an amazing woman because of it. We still have you because we have her. We have to at least remember that.
You were a writer, too, and still to this day I will always admire you because of it. I always thought, ‘If she could do it, so could I!’ Maybe not, but here I am, trying. You carried the pain with you every day and you still kept going. I’m sure to write, you went where the pain was. That’s what I learned in school, anyway.
Your sardonic nature made you you. You were always filled with a perspective shift; from the beginning you were dealt a hand that you always made the best of, despite the circumstances. You’d laugh, throw your hands up with your self-manicured fingernails and you’d laugh that hearty laugh, let out a deep cut at someone or something, and leave us all in stitches. Every once in a while, Mom would say to me, “Your mannerisms reminded me of Angie, just there” and it was always such a compliment. I’m so thankful my daughter got to meet you on your birthday, and I’m so flattered that it was a birthday wish for you.
We could all learn a little something from your legacy: don’t take life too seriously..laugh. Laugh at everything. Laugh at yourself. Happy Birthday, Angie. We miss you, and we love you.
